CakeMate was born from a simple observation: talented bakers were spending more time on spreadsheets than on baking. We set out to change that.
How It All Started
In 2024, our founding team was helping a local wedding cake bakery digitise their operations. We were stunned to discover that even successful bakeries were managing orders through WhatsApp messages, tracking inventory on paper, and estimating ingredient quantities from memory.
That experience became the spark for CakeMate. We partnered with over 50 professional bakers across Europe to understand their daily workflow — from the first client enquiry to the final delivery. Every feature in CakeMate was designed with direct input from the people who would use it.
Today, CakeMate serves hundreds of bakeries worldwide, from home bakers fulfilling weekend orders to multi-location operations producing thousands of cakes per month. Our 3D cake designer, volumetric calculations, and order management tools are trusted by professionals who demand accuracy and speed.
